The federal EPA division is hosting a free presentation Thursday on asbestos awareness training that utilizes short talks, videos, interactive sessions and updates on actual incidents. The sessions will be delivered by an environmental firm that’s promised to make the training lively and interesting.
The sessions will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday (Sept. 3) at Salish Kootenai College, Beaverhead Building. This training will focus on the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) rules that cover necessary steps necessary for protection from asbestos during the renovation or demolition of facilities.
